England started recruiting Gurkha for its army in 1816. Since then, their traditional edged weapons – kukris – have been part of the standard issue of Gurkha regiments in Great Britain, India, and Nepal. The kukri that are manufactured by Windlass Steelcrafts are made in the same forge that began forging weapons for the British Army back in 1943.
