Perfect Honor Guard Sword
Review by
I just purchased this artillery sword for the purposes of leading a Guard of Honor. I've looked at several patterns of sword, both new and antique. I settled on this one.

It is a simple sword, with good lines. The three-bar swept hilt gives it a majestic look. The acid-etch is deep and detailed (although, I may sand-blast the blade clean, and have my band's insignia lasered on). The other thing that I like is that the handle is brown like the scabbard. Most are black, even if the scabbard is brown.

Mechanically...the steel hilt is tight with the blade, the handle, or grip, is tight with the blade. It is nice and solid.

The scabbard is nicely made. The leather should take a nice waxing...adding that perfect patina.

The price is actually fair. But, they advertise a 5% price buster if you can find it cheaper. I didn't bother looking.

They offer a sharpening service. Now that I know the quality, the next couple of swords I purchase will come sharpened.
