Product Description

This early 16th Century dagger is based on a historical example which is housed within the collection of the Metropolitan Museum and dated to 1510-1540. These German styled daggers with their characteristic half ring guard would have been a fine everyday sidearm to a well-heeled knight, burgher or landsknecht mercenary.

This reproduction has a blade of high carbon steel and its hilt has a guard and pommel of antiqued brass and a well-carved hilt of wood. The dagger is paired with a sheath of high quality dyed vegetable tanned leather with antiqued brass fittings and hanging rings.
